Men golfers at Ashlar are offered different levels of membership to the club they can elect to take up 7 day, 6 day or 5 day membership.
7 day members Sunday to Saturday
6 day members Sunday to Friday
5 day members Monday to Friday
Competitions are run every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. There are also nine hole events which include the weekly chicken run and the Friday ball competition.
Sunday and mid week games are normally open medley events, Saturday is the main mens golf day, but includes a ladies singles even for the 7 day lady members.
The main functions of the Mens Golf Committee include:

organising, setting up, score recording and listing of results of competitions

handicapping, including new members Golf Association allocation

are associated with the match committee, where decisions, local rules, modes of play, event format, match play draws, booking in sessions and fixture planning are undertaken.

organising the chicken run and the Friday ball competition

the co-ordination, entry organisation, team selections, referees and submitting results for Pennant games.
